After 17-plus years of performing more than 100 concerts annually, releasing eight studio albums and selling more than 3.5 million tracks online, Umphrey’s McGee might be forgiven if they chose to rest on their laurels. But then that wouldn’t be consistent with the work ethic demonstrated by the band, which consistently attempts to raise the bar, setting and achieving new goals since forming on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana, in 1997. After releasing their eighth studio album, Similar Skin, the first for their own indie label, Nothing Too Fancy (N2F) Music (distributed by RED), the group continue to push the envelope and test the limits.

New Orleans native Trombone Shorty is the bandleader and frontman of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, a hard-edged funk band that employs hip-hop beats, rock dynamics and improvisation in a jazz tradition.  Together, Trombone Shorty and his band have toured the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Russia and Brazil. Trombone Shorty began his career as a bandleader at the tender age of six, and toured internationally for the first time at age 12 before joining Lenny Kravitz' horn section at the age of 19 for a 105-date world tour in 2005-2006.

Rolling Stone called them “the hardest-swinging pop quartet since Manhattan Transfer.” On Friday, March 17, 2017, Boston band Lake Street Dive will take its two-month USA tour to MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa. Show time is 8 p.m. in the MontBleu Showroom, with doors opening one hour earlier.
Featuring award-winning jazz vocalist Rachel Price, Lake Street Dive blends humor with Motown soul and Sixties pop. The quartet is rounded out by Mike “McDuck” Olson (trumpet, guitar), Bridget Kearney (upright bass), and Mike Calabrese (drums). They met while attending the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

Alix Perez (Belgium/UK) and Eprom (USA) are SHADES. Aware of each other’s music for some time before meeting, Perez and Eprom first crossed paths at the 2013/2014 Northern Bass festival in New Zealand. The following summer they met again at the Red Bull Studios LA producing the Foreign Beggars’ Modus EP. This initial studio session led to further collaborations and SHADES was born. Shades exemplify slanted grooves, a deep pocket, and hard yet graceful composition. The debut self-titled EP (released on Alpha Pup) is a truly unique body of work.
