Shirley demonstrated attitude, courage, and a caring character in dimensions that are an inspiration to many of the "We." Dave Robberson, Food Manager, has
been selected as the fourth recipient of the Shirley Stroud Award.
His excellent guest service, caring character, and outstanding
'We' attitude made him the perfect candidate for this award.
Dave has displayed all of these qualities and many more during
his 8½ years with Lakeside Inn. It is an honor and a privilege

Longtime Slot
Keyperson and relief Shift Supervisor Donna Kichoff was awarded
Lakeside Inn’s special Shirley Stroud Excellence Award for
the outstanding personal recognition and warm, friendly service
she consistently provides our guests. Shirley will always be with
us in spirit and we feel she would be pleased with our choice.
Like Shirley, Donna has always been one of our guests’ favorite
staff members. Guests return to Lakeside Inn day after day, year
after year to see her. |
Patty
Soleta - Shirley Stroud Excellence
Award
We are proud to announce that
Patty Soleta, Housekeeping Supervisor, is the recipient of the
Shirley Stroud Excellence Award. Patty has worked in the Housekeeping
Department for almost 19 years, always going beyond what is expected
of her. On her own initiative she sewed custom drapes in the executive
suite. Guests often ask Patty to decorate their rooms for a birthday
party they are having.
Patty does all this without hesitation even though it burdens
her busy schedule. A luncheon was given in Patty's honor in The
Taberna Restaurant. Thanks, Patty, for your caring attitude and
for being an excellent example of the Mission Statement in action |

We would like to congratulate James Reed as our May Employee of the Month. James started in the security field in October 2006. Since that time, he has learned very quickly and has come along very well as an officer. James is enthusiastic and always willing to go the extra mile for anyone at any time. Our guests recognize James for his quality guest service. James has recently become a dual-rate Security Supervisor so look for him in his new role. James' work is very much appreciated. Congratulations to Bonny Flores, our April Employee of the Month! Bonny is the big smile that greets you when you enter the Timber House and cashes you out at the end of your dining experience.
Bonny is quick, efficient, and concise and has a very keen eye for detail. She is always making sure things keep moving. She has so much energy…I can't keep up with her, can you? Lakeside Inn is lucky to have her on our team and we proud to call her EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH! |

Jose Zamora
Jose Zamora joined the Lakeside Inn team in 2002. He started in the Sportsbook and filled in as a Barback. Jose eventually made his way to a full-time Barback and then was promoted to a Bartender on the graveyard shift. Jose is always there for us during any scheduling crisis. Jose's easygoing attitude and great work ethic make him a pleasure to work with. He knows how to have fun without sacrificing service or quality. Thanks, Jose, for helping Lakeside go from good to great! |

Everyone who has encountered Diana on the job knows why she is our February Employee of the Month! She is courteous, accommodating, friendly and helpful to all of our guests. Her co-workers know that their day is going to be a little bit more fun if she is working. Her supervisors know she always gives 100%! During her years at Lakeside, she has worked at the front desk, in the slot department, and now is our friendly hostess in the Taberna Restaurant. Thanks for all your contributions to Lakeside! Chuk Madruga has worked as a Slot Technician at Lakeside Inn since March of 2003. He is a fine technician with a keen eye for detail.
He works well with others and is well-liked and respected by co-workers and our guests. He always has a warm smile and greeting for all.

We are proud to announce Saturnino Juarez as December's Employee of the Month. Saturnino has been working swing and grave shifts in the GBM Department at Lakeside for over eight years. During this time he has shown his consistent commitment, positive attitude, dependability and loyalty to Lakeside Inn and Casino. He has been the GBM Leadperson for the past five years on graveyard shift.

CJ Beisel
CJ has worked in the Warehouse since August 2006. He comes to work with a positive and friendly attitude every day. He is always willing to work extra and fill in whenever needed. CJ is efficient and accurate in his work and he is a team player. It is a pleasure to work with CJ.

Mike has been with the Games department as a dealer since October 2005. He comes to work with a positive and upbeat attitude every day. Mike keeps our guests entertained and involved in the action on his blackjack game, with humor and banter that is fun and enjoyable. He is efficient and accurate on the game and it is a pleasure to work with him.

 September 2007 Reymundo Torres
Good attitude, tenacity and zeal, for things done well, are some of the many qualities that earned Reymundo Torres the nomination for our Employee of the Month for September. Hired as a Taberna fry cook, in March 2002, Reymundo showed natural leadership skills and a passion for food quality. Reymundo moved up to the Taberna Supervisory position, in which he has been able to bring stability and consistency to a very important section of our food operation. Reymundo's a key element of the kitchen department and an asset to Lakeside. Thank you, Reymundo, for your contribution to our property! We are proud to work by your side!

 Maria Alvarado August 2007
Maria is a long time, valued member of the Lakeside Inn family. During her 10 years as a GBM porterette, Maria has continued to show her positive attitude. She strives to be nice to everyone, including her fellow employees, and of course, our guests. She makes it a personal decision to make her daily contacts with our guests friendly and always tries to talk to the guests using their names.
Maria is a great example of our Mission statement: she demonstrates the “WE” and gives excellent and friendly guest service to everyone.
